Help Us Make This Year's Shakespeare at The Green an Overwhelming Success!

How can you help?

The support of patrons like you turned last year's Shakespeare at The Green into a runaway hit and has helped us secure a major grant to expand next year's programming. We are off to a great start with our current production of As You Like It, but need your help to ensure the success of the festival.

What can you do?
1. Come see the show
2. Spread the word by forwarding this email to friends
3. Volunteer to usher for one of the shows

1. Join us for As You Like It through June 17

The weather forecast looks great this week, so come out and see the return of free, outdoor Shakespeare to Charlotte as we present the Bard's romantic comedy As You Like It, running through June 17.

Performances this week and next week are Wednesday through Saturday at 7:30pm, with one matinee on Sunday, June 17 at 3pm. Admission is free, no reservations are necessary. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and plan to either buy food and beverage from our partner Ratcliffe on The Green, or bring your own (beer and wine are allowed).

As You Like It follows Rosalind, Shakespeare’s most charming heroine, as she escapes to the Forest of Arden. Disguised as a boy and joined by her cousin and their reluctant fool, Rosalind encounters local rustics, her banished father, and her true love Orlando on her journey through Arden . A witty and wise comedy about the sexes, As You Like It highlights the transformative power of love.

2. Help spread the word
Word of mouth and email marketing are the two most effective and low cost ways for us to increase awareness of our productions. Please use the "Forward to a Friend" link at the top of this newsletter to spread the word about free Shakespeare to friends, family and colleagues.
3. Volunteer as an usher

We still need volunteer ushers for most of the remaining performances. Ushers arrive 45 minutes before the show to hand out playbills and assist patrons in finding seating. Ushering is a great way to secure prime seating for yourself while helping us provide a quality experience for our patrons. We'll even pay for your parking.

If you are interested in ushering, please reply to this email or contact us directly at hi@collaborativeartstheatre.com

Thanks for your support of Shakespeare at The Green!
We hope to see you at the show.
