Free summer Shakespeare is back and we're kicking off our programming a little early this year with Shakespeare Revealed. This unique event is led by visiting guest artist Daniela Varon, a professional director and acting teacher and long-time affiliate of one of the country's leading Shakespeare companies. Daniela will lead an interactive discussion of this summer's shows, Romeo and Juliet and Much Ado About Nothing. She will also demonstrate how directors approach Shakespeare in the modern age, and how actors can unlock the text to bring it fully alive for today's audience. There will be some chances for audience participation (it's not required, but a fun opportunity to "brush up your Shakespeare"). You'll also meet a few of the actors involved in the summer season as they rehearse scenes under Daniela's direction. This is a great opportunity to meet an outstanding Shakespeare practitioner and get a behind-the-scenes look at how we do what we do. And did we mention it's free? Friday, April 25th 7:30 - 9:00 pm Duke Power Theatre at Spirit Square 345 N. College St., Charlotte, NC
